Morningside
Morningside is a vibrant, friendly, middle class residential area. But it caters for a wide range of people from students, employed and shortterm residents.
It has a variety of local supermarkets like Sainsburies, Tesco's, Waitrose and M&S. There are local high street banks like the Bank of Scotland. Many are available in the city or online. There are many smaller shops from coffee shops, cheese specialists, fishmongers, restaurants, to Opticians, pharmacists to shoe shops, hairdressers, florists, jewellery shops gift shops, tech shops and clothing shops. Morningside is popular with its charity shops and vintage shops where you can grab a bargain.
Morningside Road is a busy road with excellent transport to various parts of ygd city. Easy access to various areas of the city centre, buses, railway statikns, trams and the airport.

HISTORY OF THE CANNY MAN'S
The Canny Man’s is one of the cities finest public houses, well known far and wide for it’s quirky nature and ‘never’ changing décor. Established in 1871 by James Kerr the pub has always been the perfect watering hole for Morningside locals.
The original bars still stand in the same place holding all sorts of trinkets and evidence of people who once drank there. Parts of the original gantry can still be identified and the whole pub is made up of intricate wood work and antiques throughout adding to the charm and intrigue of the well known pub.

The owners go out of their way to provide comfy caring community cafes serving amazing coffee selected with care and tasty wonderful food which they put their heart and soul into making. They genuinely care about their customers and the community and pride themselves on knowing many customers by name. It’s the little touches that make them stand out, the water for the passing dogs at the door, the free toys books and play space for the kids (a godsend to mums desperate for a coffee!)
