Great place for sunrise coffee. It's 4.5 miles to and from the trail head. give yourselves at least 2.5 hours to summit. Take headlamps and enjoy!

A must see while in the area. Plan ahead, go early for parking. Flat hike around the lake or take on the 6 glacier hike past the tea house, which can be challenging but totally doable. Plan for a drink at the Fairmount to soak in the views. Bring skates in the winter to ice skate on the lake. You can canoe here in the summer.

Come out of the building on P1 and walk to the sidewalk on highway 1A to the round about. Turn right onto spring creek and you'll see the trail on your right by the creek. You can use this trail to get to and from town and if you continue down the path, it will take you to the other side of town where you can explore a swamp.

Kananaskis Provincial Park
If you are planning to use the Kananaskis provincial park facilities and will be parking in the Kananaskis Conservation area, please register your vehicle. It costs $15/day or $90 per year. You can call and change the license plate number when you need.

Banff Park Pass
If you are planning to use the national park facilities you will need a pass. If you have paid $20 to borrow my pass, I will have it in the unit for you, if not, you can purchase one at the entrance to the park. It's better to have it in advance, it will save you a lot of time. Lines can be long.
