Bald Eagle Watching: November- February

Each winter the eagles migrate to the CDA area to feed on the kokanee salmon in the lake. Where to see the Eagles-Higgens Point, Mineral Ridge Boat Ramp, and Mineral Ridge Trailhead are great spots to view the eagles. Higgens Point has ample parking and a wide trail to walk down to multiple viewing areas. The eagles are most active in the mornings and evenings but can been seen anytime of the day. Take a Cruise– A fun way to get up close to the eagles is to take the Coeur d’Alene Cruise from the resort. This educational tour is offered in December and January and lasts 2 hours.
