Our small town of Black Mountain is like a Norman Rockwell painting. A step back in time.
Black Mountain, located 15 miles from Asheville on the eastern edge of Buncombe County, is a quintessential small town, complete with a charming and walkable downtown, a thriving arts and crafts scene, and—at 2,405 feet in elevation—access to incredible outdoor adventure.
We have several good restaurants like Black Mountain Bistro, Milton's at the Monte Vista Hotel, Que Sera, Bush Farmhouse, to name a few and also for a wonderful lunch, the Veranda, My Father's Pizza, Cousins Cuban Cafe. For good barbecue go to Phil's Bar-B-Que Pit.

Another sweet town to visit while you stay with us is Hendersonville, NC. It's only 20 miles from us and you'll find excellent restaurants and shops for just about anything that you might like. They also have an art museum where kids can do hands on art. You'll fall in love with this town.

the Town of Lake Lure. It was incorporated in 1927. The Town of Lake Lure is a great location for sports, including swimming, golfing, hiking, or serious rock climbing. You can enjoy a wide variety of water activities, ranging from canoeing and fishing to pleasure boating and water skiing.
Take a site seeing tour around the lake in a pontoon boat and see some of the places where the movie "Dirty Dancing" was filmed.

Everything is within driving distance of 5-25 miles from us.
We are very close to the town of Black Mountain, Hendersonville and Asheville. Also the small towns of Bat Cave, Chimney Rock and Lake Lure. Each one has it's own attractions which are all wonderful for family fun.
