Their rental fleet is the largest in lower Michigan, and it just keeps on growing! They closely monitor and carefully maintain their rental bikes, so you can have the best cycling experience, whether you're riding the Kal-Haven Trail, the Van Buren Trail, or our downtown bike lanes.

The Kal-Haven Trail is a 33.5 mile linear multiple-use trail that links South Haven to Kalamazoo. The Kal-Haven Trail is built on the abandoned Kalamazoo & South Haven Railroad route that existed from 1870 to 1970. The railroad bed has been converted to a trail with a limestone/slag surface and is suitable for non-motorized bicycles, hiking, and snowmobiling. Geocaching is permitted along the trail.

Beaches

A favorite of mine and a 5 min. walk from the cottage. Less crowded than most beaches, you can walk for miles in either direction and if you want to find beach glass, petosky stones, lighting stones, crinoids, etc... walk north, and you will find them.

It is one of South Haven’s seven public beaches, and is one of the two most popular beaches in the city, with the other being South Beach. At this beach, you and your guests can partake in sports such as swimming, kiteboarding, beach volleyball, and fishing. Additionally, North Beach is ADA accessible and has a fun playground, a pleasant pier, a charming picnic area, and convenient concessions available, as well as restrooms and a parking area.
