Sightseeing
Within walking distance (a long walk) from the unit is Diamond Head trail. One of the most traveled hiking trails on the island. If you are not a avid hiker, it’s safe and you can take your time. Plus there is always someone close to lend a hand if need. Hike is also great for health enthusiasts with wide paths to navigate around slower individuals and various routes to the top. A fantastic workout for sure! As of May 2022 reservations now required to hike the trail. Please Google the hike for current information.

Kakaako art walls are a part of the annual “Pow! Wow!” Hawaii street art festival. Thou it has been on hiatus for the pandemic years. The art is still up on many of the walls (from years past) around the kakaako area. and hopefully the festival will return next year. It’s a far, far walk to kakaako so I’d say catch a Uber, drive or biki (bike ride) from unit.

A fantastic low impact hike that can still give you a workout. And if you are into swimming in natural salt water tide pools well there a place for that as well. it’s a harder hike but we’ll worth the side trip. You will need a car to get to the trailhead from the unit. Ask us more!
