Italdo Tulum is one of the best places to eat in Tulum Mexico. The pastries and coffee are incredible. Coffee lovers, put this place on your “must visit” list. Get ready for some of the best coffee in town plus insanely delicious almond croissants, cream bombolone, salads and more. This is a busy café with limited space, so be prepared to wait for a table. Fortunately, the wait will be totally worth it! Italdo is definitely one of the gems of Tulum. Head over to Avenida 5 Sur, La Veleta, to enjoy this spectacular Italian bakery. ¡Un café y postre, por favor!

Stylish and sophisticated, the Thai fusion restaurant and Martini bar at Mezzanine are considered among the best Tulum restaurants for cuisine and romantic dining by candlelight. Lounge by the pool on grass woven mats and beanbags where Crisp Martinis, Cool Margaritas and Cuban Mojitos are served with smooth grooves and world lounge beats, definitely one of our favorites.

Posada Margherita is one of my favorite places to eat in Tulum. Not only because the meal sat so well with me that a few hours later I didn’t feel like I had a belly bomb, but because of the care and attention to detail. Located at the beginning of Tulum Beach Road, on the beach side, Posada Margherita is a hidden (literally) gem that does not accept reservations. Get there early or on the later side of the day if you want to secure yourself a table on the beach. This is the spot to go if you’re in the mood for an exquisite Italian meal on the beach, just steps away from the Caribbean Sea, or for a fresh squeezed juice or gelato.

Canova serves gourmet cuisine. It specializes in pizzas and seafood. Great mixology in the drinks menu. Fine and bohemian, this place was open to the public recently. It is located very close to Casa Savia, and for us it's a most to try.

Taqueria Honorio’s uber-relaxed restaurant is something of a foodie legend in Tulum. It’s an unpretentious spot serving up the best tacos in Tulum – we’re not kidding. Here’s why you need to visit. There are four main types of delicious tacos offered up: the popular Cochinita Pibil, a spiced pork affair; Lechon al Horno, spiced pork cooked in a stone oven; Carne Asada, charcoal-roasted pork steak that has been marinated with bitter orange and spices; and Relleno Negro de Pavo, turkey meat marinated with mixed spices and finished off with a hard-boiled egg on top.

Información sobre la ciudad

23 kms from Tulum drive The art and crafts stores are conveniently located on the Coba Road for visitors passing through but the real depth of this location is a few blocks off the highway and worth a little trip into the heart of the village. All the dream catchers, wood carvings, woven baskets and lamps are made in the small houses and palapas in the village. As rustic as the houses and homes seem, this is an authentic village untouched by visitors, with not a shred of foreign influence.

Great Cenote, it works kind of like a beach club but it is a Cenote.

What are the Tulum Ruins? Located just outside of Tulum’s city center, the Tulum Mayan Ruins were originally built as an oceanside fortress and are the only beachfront Mayan Ruins in the Mexican state of Quintana Roo. The most notable feature of the Tulum Ruins is the oceanfront location with the ruins elevated at a height of about 12 m (~39 feet), offering spectacular seaside views of the brightly colored Caribbean Sea. At the Tulum archaeological site, many basic structures remain including El Castillo (The Castle) and many different temples. The site also offers a one-of-a-kind public beach access area to cool off after visiting the ruins. Book a Tulum Ruins Tour If you don’t want to deal with the hassle of driving or figuring out public transportation, then I would recommend booking a Tulum Ruins tour. Most Tulum tours will include all entrance fees, a knowledgeable tour guide, and roundtrip transportation with pickup from Riviera Maya hotels. In addition, many tours also include snorkeling and visits to nearby cenotes, which are hidden swimming holes that can only be found in the Yucatan peninsula. With these added activities, you get more bang for your buck and a hassle free booking option.
