Parks - Yay for Nature

Sightseeing

I go here at least twice a week. It's absolutely beautiful. They have a nature center and aviary section. There is also a 5K walking trail. Get lost in all things Florida wild. There is a $3 entrance fee per person and no dogs allowed.

I love this park during the week. It gets stupid crowded on the weekend. North Beach and Arrowhead picnic area/trail are my favorite spots as they area a little more secluded. There is a wonderful dog beach here, but again, on the weekends it gets over run with dogs that are not necessarily behaved. There is a $5 park entrance fee per car.

One of my favorite places to take my pup. Especially when there is a super low tide, a large sandbar is exposed and you can walk out there with your pup and discover all the life in the tide pool area of the bay. Old Southeast neighborhood is my favorite.

This is sort of a hidden gem. Tucked deep into a neighborhood this park is expansive along the Tampa Bay estuaries. There is a 1/4 mile boardwalk through palmetto palms and the sidewalk will take you all the way into Gulfport if you felt like going on a 2+ mile adventure walk.

This is a little gem in the middle of a busy city. 3 + acres of old oak trees with a historical Indian mound. So much history and nature all in one. About 20 minutes away from the house but definitely worth a visit. There is a morning dog crew that arrives between 7:30 - 8:30 a.m, almost all are great, as well as an afternoon crowd {but I've never gone in the afternoon so not sure the crew}

I love this park and usually visit at least twice each week with Angus. It has a great loop that takes you along the water and through the trees. Great disk frisbee course here too.

I just started walking here and its a wonderful hidden gem in the middle of South St Petes neighborhood. All along the water so big fields to play in. You're basically parking on the street and walking towards the green space so be aware there's not really a parking lot saying "You're here!"

This is downtown St Pete so its a great Central Park to leave your car and walk all along the water front.
