This park features a pool, a kids train, canoes for rent, shelters for rent and a big playground. We spent many days at this park.

There is canoe or kayak rentals. The lake is for fishing or boating -not for swimming. They have a big July 4th celebration as well. Rowing has become a big sport there as well as the annual Speed Boat Races.

There is a hub for the Amtrak station in High Point.
Mountain bike/ hiking trail
This is a fun trail with lots of elevation changes. It is a short trail with a loop, approximately 2.5 miles. Hiking is good, trail running. It has bridges that cross a stream and the views are nice.

One of my Husbands favorite places to Mountain Bike. Moore's Spring Trail is just outside of Hanging Rock State park entrance. It has several levels of Bike/Hike Trails. Ranging from Moderate to hard.
