Fantastic selection of Indian cuisine tucked away in this beautifully decorated restaurant. It is above Piccolo’s and the waiters there are often running between both venues. The food was delicious, really organised and well run. They do a takeaway service as well. This is a very reasonably priced restaurant.

This lovely little restaurant is right in the marina on Puerto Mazarron. Not only do you get amazing views but the food was out of this world. The waiters were amazing and really helpful. They have menus in every language too Reasonable in price but be prepared to go back again and again to try the whole menu.

The Algeciras reservoir was built in 1995. It is an exceptional place for bird watching that have colonised the area, such as herons, seagulls, zampullines, mallard ducks or storks. The views are stunning, the photos just don’t do it justice. There are many view points and decent shoes are recommended as some parts of the path are more rubble than path and definitely take suncream and water. You will drive up windy roads to get there but there are spaces to park the car along the way if you wanted a bit more of a hike. It would be beautiful for a picnic and it’s great for all to enjoy.

Lovely place to visit, it has many places to look around and the castle is a good place to start. The municipal park is a great pit stop for the kids and there is even a lovely little tapas bar over the road (and other cafes) with a great selection of nibbles. The name Alhama relates to the hot thermal waters which flowed until the 1930's and attracted both the Romans and the Moors to build thermal baths, which have today been converted into the town's Archaeological Museum, Los Baños.

So much to see and admire in Cartegena. I didn’t realise it was such a big place. Great shopping and lively places to eat. Remember to look up, so much beauty in the architecture.

We stumbled across this beautiful church after just strolling down the streets. Everything was so well kept and stunning to look at. It was free entry and you can leave donations and buy candles. We sat for a while soaking it all in. If you are here over Easter you should check out “Semana Santa” as the processions are fantastic.

A walk around the coast. Amazing views from beach to beach and it’s only a short walk…. Keep going and it’s more of the beautiful coastline. Unusual colours in the rocks and views that just knock your socks off. The photos just don’t do it justice.

Things to do

The resort is one of 6 Polaris Nicklaus trail resorts, all within an easy drive, so there are 5 other quality golf courses on these resorts alone, and a least 8 within a half an hour drive of the resort. Driving range is open and you will need €1 for 22 balls. There is also a pro shop on site.

Lovely place to visit in Lorca is the castle, really reasonable in price to visit the certain paid for areas (they are all open at different times so you can walk round and see them all) a great day out. The cafe was nice for a light lunch or a drink. There was free parking as well.

⭐️ Opening 4th June 2022 ⭐️ The animals are divided into two environments. One area is set in Kenya and has species of animals characteristic of this country, such as lions, giraffes and hippos. The other area is the Iberian peninsula, and is home to wildlife common to this area, such as Iberian wolves, brown bears, etc. Entry ticket to Terra Natura Murcia Entry ticket to Aqua Natura Murcia (make sure you select this) The water park has a few different areas like the diversion cube, slow river and it also has an under 3’s pool for younger children. There are water slides for the more adventurous too. It’s a great place for a day out for the whole family and just on our doorstep. Just as an FYI Children under 10 years old must be accompanied at all times in the swimming pools and kid’s zones.

Cala Cortina is the nearest beach to Cartagena. It is a naturally secluded cove and is only 250 metres long. There is a car park at the top. It is a compact little bay sheltered by rugged cliffs, with a beachside seafood bar & calm waters for swimming. The view when you park and look down to the beach is beautiful. There is also a small shack you can buy from and toilets are at the end of the restaurant.

This is an amazing day out. We did one of their combo deals and was so much fun. Food at the mariposa hotel is wonderful. Mark, mick and the team are so helpful and knowledgeable about the area. A combo deal with food is around €130 but you are there all day. They offer free transport between activities as well as drinks and snacks. We have leaflets in the apartment which shows all their activities.

交通アクセス

Travelling by car is a must

The roads are great and signs really easy to follow. There are lots of car hire companies but we usually use Flamenca cars and Anna is super helpful.

Many people on Condado speak English. When you head out and about we have found that most Spanish residents speak a little English so it’s helpful to have a few Spanish phrases up your sleeve. Don’t worry about making mistakes: most people will try their best to understand you and make sure you understand them. Just try your best and they will be happy to reciprocate.
