Though this is not unique to Colorado Springs, I listed this because a lot of people like to go there. On occasion I will walk to this Starbucks in the mornings and sit outside. It is that close to our home.

The Manitou incline was built for a cable car to carry materials to build pipelines on Pikes Peak. It is only 1 mile but climbs 2000 vertical feet. The amount of time it takes to hike the trail depends on your own pace. The trail head is at 7 Hydro Street in Manitou Springs 80829. You can park at the Barr Trail parking lot which costs $5 for 24 hours.

Only 5 minutes from the Broadmoor you can experience Colorado's natural beauty. Seven Falls is called "The Grandest Mile of Scenery" in Colorado. A place where you can dive into nature right next to the falls and take the 224 steps by the side of the falls that lead to hiking trails. The cost is $14 per adult. There is shuttle parking at the Broadmoor East Lot which is free just off Lake Avenue at 6 Lake Avenue.
