The spacious taproom is in an old high school gymnasium and a creative reuse of that space, most of which is devoted to the brewery. Excellent beers on tap, also try their excellent black bean and quinoa salad. Take the second beer in the beer garden on a perfect day.

This Huntsville jewel contains outdoor adventure for all ages and activity level. The green trails are as wide as sidewalks and just about as level. The black trails will take your best hiking efforts. The bikers are amaxing to watch as they zip by on narrow paths. Campgrounds include RV sites and primitive sites. The cabins are when you want to experience the outdoors from the comfort of the porch. There is an astrological society with weekend programs.

This relatively compact museum honors U.S. Veterans from every conflict from the Revolutionary war through Desert Storm. It is truly amazing how much stuff can be crammed into the space with enough room to have everything neatly labeled and explained. The volunteer staff are knowledgeable and are happy to leave you alone to wander or to guide you through particular areas of interest you might have. Fun for all.

This park is a little known gem in the Huntsville city limits. The lake is beautiful. It's a great place to hike or have a picnic. There is a covered pavillion there for family or company gatherings. My grandchildren love the place. It's a part of Huntsville history on Green Mountain complete with covered bridge and log cabin. Well worth a visit. If you are young enough or old enough you can fish in the lake but check the rules first.

More than 200 years ago, this international park lured settlers to Huntsville, and since then the city has grown around this green zone and keeps it for its citizens. The park hosts numerous events, including an arts festival, concerts and more. Children love friendly ducks, geese, they approach people for food without fear, I would even say that they run after people when they see bags of food in their hands. Along the perimeter of the park are machines with food for birds, for a few cents, the device produces a certain portion and voila, enjoy your meal!

There was a really great display of artistic designs in seating. There were bentwood, woven, acrylic, metal and various compositions of wood and fabric creating seating that covered the past 100 or so years. Quite delightful!
