Visit the Mission in San Juan Capistrano, Petting Zoo behind the train tracks, Great restaurants and shopping and Cinapolis Luxury Cinema. Los Rios St: Ramos House Café’ (great for breakfast and lunch), Sundried Tomato, Cedar Creek Inn, Ruby’s Diner (kids type restaurant), Hennesy’s Tavern (Irish). Head south on Rancho Viejo and just down the road past Junipero Serra, is Sol Agave, Best Organic Mexican food, Pascal (French Cuisine) and across Ortega, Bad to the Bone Barbecue, Sushi Tai. Great for art galleries, shopping, dining. Main beach is small, and watch out for high tide (many people go to sit on the beach at lunch and get a quick dousing if they are not careful!) This beach is dog friendly except during peak season.
