Just go. This crew from Italy makes the most divine wood-oven pizza, plus a full menu of authentic Italian-influenced food. The tapas bar is also terrific, if you just want small bites and great drinks. And there's a bakery next door that makes incredible bread & pastries.

Our local coffee place, which happens to have gluten-free crepes that are to-die-for. Plus tons of gluten-y treats like fresh-baked french pastries, if sweets are more your thing. Great to sit in the sunny window and watch the neighborhood go by.

Best playground for kids under 10. It's a few blocks further than our local playground, but it's so much fun, it's worth an extra couple of blocks.

Very well-stocked newcomer to the Bed Stuy grocery scene! It's a block or two further than Super Foodtown (in the other direction), but the selection of organic produce, fresh baked bread and specialty foods is far superior.
