The Eastern townships are a region in Quebec Canada right across the border were the predominant language is French. The area is famous for its rose wine, cheese and French culture. There’s numerous wine tours, cycling tours, and award cheese dairy farms. The area is very bucolic and beautiful. A short ride across the border and your transported to France !
A short little hike right off the road to a beautiful waterfall and swimming hole. Not more then a couple hundred steps and it’s usually pretty empty and quiet !

The best way to experience the region is driving or cycling
Drive around and get lost. Around every turn is a beautiful bucolic setting, Covered bridges Galore. As a side note the towns are very small and within a 10 minute drive you could drive through 3 different towns

The North East Kingdom is known for ample fly fishing opportunities. I’m not a fisher so I don’t know the spots but checkout the VT Department of Fish and Wildlife they have a wealth of information https://vtfishandwildlife.com
