Cave Point County Park is perhaps the most iconic natural landscape in all of Door County. Local county officials preserve the park, offering free admission to the picnic areas, trails, and spectacular views just up the beach from Whitefish Dunes State Park. This is a MUST-SEE.

The Eagle Trail is our favorite. It is more technically challenging but the most beautiful as it takes you down to the shoreline and to the base of the 200 ft rock wall. Be prepared to scramble in a couple of areas. This trail would be very tough to take a stroller on.

This was recently rebuilt into an accessible ramp the gently walks you up through the tree tops. It is a sight to see. Just know that it will most likely be crowded in the Summer and Fall, but it is worth it.
The Eagle Trail is our favorite. It is more technically challenging but the most beautiful as it takes you down to the shoreline and to the base of the 200 ft rock wall. Be prepared to scramble in a couple of areas. This trail would be very tough to take a stroller on.

School House Beach

A protected harbor area and Washington Island's original shipping port. Excellent swimming in a marked area with a diving raft. A favorite area for picnics. Picnic tables and grills amidst a breathtaking setting. Don't care to swim? Great area for photos, too! But beware - it is against the law to take any rocks away!
