During the summer they have all kinds of presenters from animal sanctuaries to comedians to authors. Wonder story times for different age groups plus fantastic aground with SHADE and a splash pad. It has a short walking loop around a pond filled with turtles and fish for the kids to look at.
Our personal favorite place to visit on the weekends, just a 20 minute drive from Evans. There are many sandy beach areas that you can visit around the largest lake east of the Mississippi. Our favorites are at Wildwood Park and Cherokee. You can rent a pontoon boat or jet skis at various locations with a quick Google search.
