Pennan is always a visit worthy place and summer and good weather brings Coastal Cuppa out to give you coffee tea and cake by the sea. East towards Fraserburgh but 10 mins drive with lovely walks along the way - cullykan bay and Troup head

Boat Tours
During the summer months there is a tourist boat that runs from Macduff Harbour - I think its called the Seacat- a yellow boat .
Best way to find details would be to ask at the Harbour in Macduff.
You can also ask local people at Gardenstown who might know more!
Wonderful setting for this ruined castle perched on a cliff. It’s gradually falling away so be careful ! There is also an ancient Dovecot and a wonderful cliff top walk along to a beautiful and often sparsely populated beach towards the much busier Cullen beach .

A gorgeous town - home to Cullen Skink , the smoked haddock soup of dreams .
There are many antique / junk shops for bargain browsing and a pretty sea town and beautiful beach.

a car is pretty essential , but public transport is possible
A car is pretty essential in the Crovie area BUT there is a decent bus service between Aberdeen city and airport and Banff ( and westwards along the coast to all stops towards Elgin and Inverness ) and from Banff to Gardenstown and of course a local taxi service from Gardenstown .
