Beautiful classic hike in Acadia. We recommend it for a Sunrise hike - Wake up early and plan ahead! The Cadillac North Ridge trail ascent isn’t too bad (bring a headlamp) - It can take from 1-2 hrs, depending on your hiking shape, 1 hr for experienced/advanced hikers, and 1.5 for less experienced - there is some incline! Plan to arrive at the summit 30-45 min BEFORE the scheduled sunrise, so you have time to pick a cozy viewing spot and to see all the beautiful color changes that take place before the actual sun pops! Take GORGE PATH down, it is LOVELY and follows a stream with waterfalls!

This is my favorite place to bring people who’ve never done Acadia, or who have varied hiking experience. Around Jordan pond is a FLAT/easy path that is very picturesque. If you have more stamina in you, you can add on one, two, three + peaks from this little looping path! The Bubbles (steep, but very quick ascent) are popular for photos and are at the far end of Jordan Pond. Penobscot and Sargent Mountain are longer add-on peaks, with lovely open summits for epic views. Pemetic is on the other side for another big add on!
