In the Oltrarno area, south of the river, the trendy Santo Spirito district offers a lively nightlife. The bars overlooking the Piazza Santo Spirito attract the young inhabitants of the area, where there are chic restaurants and informal trattorias. Craft shops sell shoes and costume jewelery, while numerous antique shops overlook Via Maggio. Alongside the Pitti Palace's collection of masterpieces, the Boboli Gardens offers statues and fountains.

There is also an amazing view of Florence. You can have appetizers or dinner in one of the cool restaurants you can find there.
