A 45-50 minute drive south but well worth it: Lake Minnewaska is a gorgeous park with excellent hiking (from easy to advanced). This is one our favorite places in the world. Also, there are many great restaurants and attractions in nearby New Paltz.

5281 Route 44-55A 45-50 minute drive south but well worth it: Lake Minnewaska is a gorgeous park with excellent hiking (from easy to advanced). This is one our favorite places in the world. Also, there are many great restaurants and attractions in nearby New Paltz.
Though it's an hour away, Storm King is an incredible outdoor art experience and well worth the drive.
