Morpeth is in South East Northumberland, 14 miles north of Newcastle upon Tyne and only 8 miles from fabulous unspoiled beaches on the coastline making it a perfect base for exploring the area. You can pretty much be in the city, coast or stunning countryside within 20-30 minutes.

Days Out/Activities
When you’re looking to unwind, take a woodland walk in the colourful Carlisle Park. With a playpark, riverboats and bowls as well as gorgeous scenery, the park has plenty to offer. We’d recommend checking out Turner Garden which celebrates the life of William Turner who was born in Morpeth. You can find the William Turner Garden within the formal gardens of Carlisle Park, off Castle Square, Morpeth, Northumberland.

The nearest train station is approximately a 7-minute drive from the property with routes to Edinburgh, Newcastle, and Carlisle.

There are also plenty of bus routes throughout the town. Hop on the Arriva X15 route which travels through to Newcastle with stops in Belford and Alnwick.
