Swell cafe is our favourite local, which happens to have the best coffee and an incredible dine in or take away menu. Located in the small hub of Jan Juc shops, just across the road from the Bird Rock look out.

Ocean Grind is located in the industrial estate, a hidden gem on the surfcoast serving the best coffee... oh did i mention they roast their own blend!! Be sure to plan to savour your brew in or byo keep cup as Ocean Grind are committed to reducing the use of take away coffee cups... you can purchase a husk keep cup if your on the run ;)

Contemporary asian menu, great atmosphere, delicious food! Bookings are essential, we love to eat here. I can highly recommend the cauliflower pieces and basically everything, and if it all looks too good to decide the 'Feed Me' options is amazing!!

For those using Sea Joy as a base to explore the surrounding area, Hero's Vineyard is a beautiful day trip, settled in amongst the Pennyroyal valley in the Otway hinterland it is worth making the trip to taste this local wine maker. Be sure to check their opening hours as they do fluctuate with seasons.
