You can also snorkel along the coastline and snorkel gear can be rented on the property.

Passports - Current Within 90 Days of Travel
Be sure that your passports do not expire within 90 days of your stay in Costa Rica. There is the possibility that anyone attempting to enter Costa Rica with a passport that expires within 90 days of travel will not be allowed to enter the Country when being processed by Costa Rican immigration officials.

We are quite close to the equator which means that our UV rays are most likely stronger that you may be used to.
In addition to hats & sunglasses, ALWAYS wear sunscreen when participating in day-time outdoor activities. We highly recommend that you bring a sweat-proof/waterproof sunscreen with a >30 SPF rating.

Valuables - Safety and Security
Costa Rica is not considered dangerous nor unsafe; however, using common-sense precautions will help prevent unpleasant experiences while in our beautiful country.
1) ALWAYS keep Car & Vacation Home's windows & doors are locked at night & upon departure from the home (car) at any time day.
2) NEVER leave valuables (electronics, purses, passports, wallets, cash, etc.) in the open, both at home & in the car. KEEP VALUABLE OUT OF SIGHT.
3) Do not take valuables to the beach or common-area pools & NEVER leave personal items unattended when going into the water. Be cautious of beach vendors.

Pack Light!
Costa Rica ranges from being very warm to hot year around. Our environments are very casual and very little is needed to enjoy your time here. High-heeled shoes, coats and ties and formal wear can be left at home, while you enjoy the beauty our area has to enjoy dressed in light clothing, such as shorts, sun dresses, swim suits and comfortable shoes.
Breathable clothing is best and shoes should be brought that can navigate the beaches as well as the local towns, who are not particularly known for smooth sidewalk surfaces.
