You will find McMenamins all over the Pacific Northwest have started here in NW Portland - and they all have very eclectic stories behind their restaurants - historic theaters, old elementary schools, the poor farm and this one was a funeral home converted into spaces for family and community to gather. They are quintessential Portland!

Love this place! This is a little farther away - they have only been open 3 years but the owner is one of Oregon's Craft Brewing Industry's founding fathers. Great beer, great space, great food and has space for both adults to enjoy their evening with or without kids in tow.
