I love this little pizza place. It's made to order pizza and all kinds of homemade pasta dishes. Eat-in or Carryout. The calzones and strombolis are fabulous. Baked pasta. Great food.

This hidden little gem has the best chicken tenders. They are different coated in a spicy batter. Great salads and my favorite are the West Texas Egg Rolls. Chicken, black beans, etc. fried in an egg roll and served with guacamole.

There is a Puckett's downtown Nashville, too. I love this place if you want a taste of old southern food, like fried catfish. They even offer fried bologna sandwiches which makes me laugh. And, in Franklin, the unique shops are all nearby. You definitely want to call before going, they sometimes close for entertainment events.

Yes, this is a hip coffee shop but their food is so good. A great fun place for lunch. The best sandwiches and laid-back atmosphere. It's close to downtown Franklin shopping. Just a fun day trip.

Mellow Mushroom offer's a fantastic pizza any way you like it. There are two locations in downtown Nashville. One on Broadway and one near Vanderbilt. The best crusts ever, cooked just right.

In the Factory at Franklin, I love this place. The best drinks, the best tacos with lots of fun choices, and a young fun atmosphere. Plus you get to walk around the Factory and see what's on display.

East Nashville, is a great neighborhood. With the '40s and 50's style bungalow houses. Artists and musicians have totally changed this area into a foody destination. Like Rose Pepper cantina. Check it out.

You drive through a few blocks of beautiful historic homes into the Antique district and Art galleries. As well as historic battle sites, if you're into that sort of thing. It's just pretty.
Sightseeing
If you're short on time and want to stay close, go to Nolensville. Not only do they have Martin's BBQ they have cool stores. My favorite is Three French Hens. A mix of antiques and cool gifts. There are many other small shops that are fun to walk through.
