This award-winning 14 acre park is on the site of a former Benedictine Abbey. It's internationally renowned for its colourful and attractive displays. The heritage of its backdrop make the gardens a very special place to visit and visitors come from all over the world to see it.

Arts & Culture
This is a stunning intimate theatre in Bury St. Edmonds. It is one of eight grade 1 listed theatres in the UK and is the last surviving Regency playhouse in the country. It is the only theatre in the National Trust portfolio. Lots of different plays and productions to see and a really good standard. The pantomimes are a must see! This year is 'Sleeping Beauty' and runs from 30th November 2018 - 13th January 2019.

It is the only theatre in the National Trust portfolio. Lots of different plays and productions to see and a really good standard. The pantomimes are a must see! We recommend combining breakfast or lunch at 'The Leaping Hare' with visiting it's country store on site at Wyken Vineyards. Everything is chosen with care, the book room has a considered selection of books from small specialist publishers. You will find design led pottery, Irish and Scottish woollens, log baskets, dog beds, timeless and chic clothes. Lots of beautiful and useful things and well worth a visit, especially combined with lunch!

A great little Co-op selling a good selection of food. There is also a cash point outside. Great for getting a quick meal for the evening and a pint of milk for the morning! Open 7am - 10pm.

We love this cinema as it feels more like a home. You can buy your drinks at the bar and take them in with you to watch the film on a comfy sofa! There is also a restaurant on site in Georgian style décor and a warm welcome. Highly recommended!

We love the beach at Aldeburgh. It's about an hours drive from the house, but worth it. A lovely long stretch of beach to walk along. You can buy fresh fish for dinner caught that day if you arrive before noon. Lots of shops on the high street along with cafes and restaurants. Lovely fish and chips! Worth visiting at any time of the year to blow the cobwebs away.

You can buy fresh fish for dinner caught that day if you arrive before noon. Lots of shops on the high street along with cafes and restaurants. Lovely fish and chips! Worth visiting at any time of the year to blow the cobwebs away.
