You can travel to York by Train, bus or car from Scarborough - by car and train the trip will take you approx. 50 mins. Here you can walk the Walls surrounding the city - The original walls were built around 71 AD, when the Romans erected a fort (castra) occupying about 50 acres or 21.5 hectares near the banks of the River Ouse. The rectangle of walls was built as part of the fort's defences

Falsgrave Park was built for the community of Falsgrave. Formerly named Spring Hill, this area runs deep in Scarborough's history. The park accommodates two water springs that during the 14th century provided water for the Franciscan Friars of Scarborough and the inhabitants of the Old Town.

交通アクセス

Parking - North Bay

If you want to go to the beach for the day and need to take the car - park on or any surrounding streets Scalby Mills Road - this road takes you down to the Sea Life centre car park. However there is free parking leading down Scalby Mills Road and you can easily walk to the beach from here - there is a small path running alongside the golf course which takes you straight down to the beach.
