This is walking distance from the townhouse. There is a large indoor bar and small outdoor bar. There is often live music and plenty of TVs to watch sports. The menu is good sized and the food is very good for mostly being a bar.

This is the best food at the lake. The menu isn’t huge, but every meal is fantastic. It has indoor or outdoor seating. Sitting outdoors is perfect if you have kids, there is a playground right next to the back patio. There is also a large bar outside called Harbor Bar which overlooks the lake. There is some boat parking as well.

567 Glendale RdThis is the best food at the lake. The menu isn’t huge, but every meal is fantastic. It has indoor or outdoor seating. Sitting outdoors is perfect if you have kids, there is a playground right next to the back patio. There is also a large bar outside called Harbor Bar which overlooks the lake. There is some boat parking as well.
This is another very good restaurant. It’s a part of Will of the Wisp. The food is very good for lunch or dinner and has fantastic views of the lake.

The brewery is about 5 minutes from the lake. The beer is good, but the wood fired pizza is amazing. They have outdoor seating as well with cornhole and beautiful Mountain View’s.

This is takeout only. I have only tried the steamed shrimp and crab legs, but both were great, especially the shrimp. They have lots of seafood options, but call ahead early as they sell out quickly.

The best course at the lake and one of the best in the state of Maryland. The course is very long with significant elevation changes and undulating greens. It is at the top of one of the mountains and several of the holes offer stunning views of the lake.

One of the largest man made white wafted rafting courses in the country. Anyone can do it with a guide and it offers varying levels of difficulty. It’s also fun just to walk around and watch people go by in their rafts.
