On the Nevada side of the lake about 15 minutes away with various restaurants, stores and Sand Harbor State park. One of the best beaches on the North Lake.

Local Issues to be aware of.
This area has issues with litter and visitors not paying attention to the traffic and just walking out into the street without looking.
I hear about it on our local Facebook group from the local's who live here.
So be aware to keep the area clean and dispose of your trash properly. Watch when you are crossing streets.

During peak times of the year.
Traffic can be overwhelming during the holiday times of the year. Kings beach is about 1 mile long with 1 main street so there are many places you can walk to from the resort.
Lanza's restaurant is across the street as well as Safeway.
