Caffe Ladro is my favorite place to get a bite to eat and some excellent coffee. This place has been in the neighborhood longer than any other and is a local business with small shops scattered around the area. Lotsa character, great quiche and baked goods and friendly staff.

Ok, I have not eaten here, but I have long wanted, I hear it is a great experience. Not cheap though. This is simple, rustic, Italian inspired fare with an ever changing menu that puts culinary craft on display.

It's hard not to love Trader Joe's. It is my first stop for stocking up when I'm provisioning for a short stay. Excellent prices and variety. They have a knack for stocking things that make it so easy to host a small party. But be sure to survey the neighborhood small businesses that are specializing in great take and bake offerings, they need your support too.

They have a knack for stocking things that make it so easy to host a small party. But be sure to survey the neighborhood small businesses that are specializing in great take and bake offerings, they need your support too.
I LOVE this butcher shop. It has been on Queen Anne for much more than 30 years. You will find top quality meats at a reasonable price, in my opinion. They are true pros and will treat you right.

This is a great neighborhood resource for travelers offering mailing, faxing, printing and copying services. But it also has a great selection of accessories, gifts, cards, toys and clothing. It's a local family run business that has been around for a loooong time.

I love this shop, they have also been a long time Queen Anne business. They have some really great souvenir type gifts as well as many things you would just love to have.

A tiny little corner park that is packed with intimate nooks and crannies for reflection and discovery. Keep an eye out for this gem as you make the stroll from along Highland Dr. around the west rim of Queen Anne hill.

People love to see boats and even fishing boats. This is where the fleet I fished on for nearly 20 years often ties up. I highly recommend getting salmon for dinner directly off the LOKI, a troller that is often tied up at the west wall of the Terminal selling right off the boat. Or you can go to the Fish Market next to Chinook's Restaurant at the Terminal.

The SW Queen Anne Greenbelt offers visitors a chance to escape the busy city and immerse themselves in a natural forest setting. You can access the trails by parking nearby and walking through the 12th W & W Howe Park. Just hike down the stairs next to the hillside slide and the trail will lead you into the forested area from there!
