About 10 mins drive from our property there is a lovely bush walk up to a fantastic waterfall. Takes around 25 minutes to walk to the waterfall along a bush track which is fairly easy to manage - a little steep in places but worth the trip. Not suitable for very young children

Kawerau township is about 12 mins drive at the base of Putauaki volcano. Beautiful walks along the Tarawera river and Stoneham Park. Take a trip to the Tarawera Falls - buy a permit from the i-Site in Kawerau. There is a New World supermarket and pharmacy in Kawerau and also a few take aways. Swimming pool, children's pool and spa pool in Kawerau which is open everyday with free admission.

Fabulous swimming lake at Rotoma - 22 min drive from our place. Boat ramp, childrens play area and toilets there. Sandy shoreline and you can park right by the water's edge. Water is beautifully clear. Can take jet skis and power boats.
