Just outside of Inverness is Chanonry Point where you will have a chance to walk along the beach and look for the dolphins who are regular visitors. Beauly is nearby, a lovely small town with shops and a very interesting Priory.

If you want the best chance of seeing the Monster, take a boat trip, ideally fitted with special onboard sonar systems…. Cruise Loch Ness are in the village by the canal swing bridge (5-10 mins walk away). They run daily cruises and, for thrill seekers, have a RIB offering a high-speed option. There are longer boat trips by Jacobite Tours from Tomnahurich Bridge, Inverness which cruise Loch Ness and the Caledonian Canal.
