They have an extensive menu which is great for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Coffee, smoothies and pastries too! Super casual, you order at the counter and then they bring your food to you. Just don't go if you're in a rush, they aren't always the fastest.

Great restaurant/bar. Love their cocktails, and my favorite dish here is the steamed mussels. The portion is huge and great for sharing. Such a cute and intimate spot for a date or dinne with a small group.

Hands down the best food in the neighborhood! The hummus is to die for, and I love their shakshuka. Vegetarian friendly but with options for meat eaters as well. Great craft beer too :) Owned by a local couple who owns the craft beer store and keycafe next door.

Divey local bar, great for a cheap beer or well drink. Really the only bar in the 'hood, but a great standby. Outdoor covered patio too, for the warmer nights. During the day it doubles as a flower shop!

If you find yourself in the East Village, definitely stop into Sonny's for some oysters ($1 happy hour weeknights), and the best margarita in the city! They also have a great seafood centric menu for a full dinner if you choose to stay

This is a beautiful little 'speakeasy' style lounge in Williamsburg. A great place to sit with a cocktail and get some oysters and charcuterie. The bartenders are truly cocktail masters!

Arts & Culture
If this is your first time in NY, this should be your first Museum stop. Not only is the art incredible, you will get amazing views of NYC and the waterfront, and will be in the middle of the Meatpacking district which is full of high end shops, tons of restaurants, and close to the Highline which is another must see NYC attraction.

Parks & Nature
Prospect Park is .9 miles from the apartment and such a great way to see brooklyn life. There is a 'loop' for running, biking etc, lots of trails and large open spaces to picnic or just hang out. On Saturday there is a massive farmers market at Grand Army Plaza, which you should not miss!
