Close to the cabins. You can walk the trail right to it (you will have to cross the hwy). Good food, nice casual atmosphere, traditional steakhouse and very cozy.

You can boat to any of the downtown places and there is always room at the dock. We like to boat to Suomi for breakfast. They have traditional Finnish breakfast items. Coffee is typical diner coffee so not so great, but I usually grab a good coffee at 5th and Elm after breakfast because I am picky.

You can't beat this place if you are willing to drive. This is where we go for our Anniversary. Great food, great bourbon and beer selection and the most amazing view of Lake Superior. We usually sit on the beach afterwards, find great Lake Superior rocks, and last year there was live music on their deck! My favorite place in the U.P. You have to make a reservation or sit at the bar (we have experienced the bar full too...only about 6 barstools).

We love to go to Roy's for breakfast and/or coffee. They have great breakfast danish, cronuts, breakfast pasty and amazing donuts. Their coffee is only drip (no espresso), but it is Keweenaw Coffee Works which is great. We take our across the street to the picnic tables on the canal with a view of the Bridge.

Sightseeing
Great hike or snowshoe. Has some steep inclines, but even our 10 year old was able to snowshoe the trail. Gorgeous place!

This beach is treasured by locals so don't tell them we sent you! Water is very cold, but you can walk way out before it hits your knees. On a very hot day it's the perfect spot. You can walk out to the lighthouse for a photo op and if you want warm water jump off towards Portage Lake instead of jumping into the Lake Superior side. This beach has very little people, white sand and if you take your jet ski or boat around you can look at some beautiful bluffs. This is a Lamppa family favorite!
