One of the more unique places to go in the California Desert. It is great for a day trip. I would recommend stopping by Bombay Beach at the same time. There are plenty of whole in the wall, authentic Mexican restaurants along the way. Plan the whole day!

Pioneertown is a must see for anyone that loves the glory of old western movies. It is also home to Pappy and Harriet's, where you can find live music, great steaks, and great beer!

There is nothing I can say that will do this park justice. Whether you drive through in the morning, mid day or afternoon, makes little difference. The Joshua Trees make you feel like you are in a Dr. Seuss book. The rocks make you feel like you are on the moon. There is a unique beauty to this park that never gets old. Make sure to bring water on those hot days, and just in case you break down. You can sight see, rock climb, or hike depending on what you would like to do.

The Joshua Trees make you feel like you are in a Dr. Seuss book. The rocks make you feel like you are on the moon. There is a unique beauty to this park that never gets old. If you love mid century modern architecture, furniture and design, this is the place for you. Drive around and look at the houses that Frank Sinatra and Marilyn Monroe stayed in. Go thrifting at the best vintage stores in the area or enjoy great food and drinks at the local restaurants.
There is also the night market that takes place every Thursday night starting at 7pm. Don't worry about parking, you will find some.
If you love to Golf this area is for you!
