If you're a tea drinker, or just want to get beyond coffee, The Chai Spot is a great option! Offering Pakistani style chai, snacks and clothing, I recommend this as a place to take a break, get a drink and chill out on the veranda. If you're lucky, you can grab one of the two spots that overlook the road, with a small table and two chairs. Larger groups, or if those are taken, have a pretty space with rugs on raised platforms or chairs or benches on the veranda.

Hiking

To get to the trail head you need to have a jeep or another car with great suspension and high clearance. Or you can walk from the parking lot. Ignore the road to the right the jeeps go on, it's very dusty and crowded! Instead, go to the right to take the Chuck Wagon trail. It starts near the parking lot's bathroom & trail signs and connects up to the Devil's Bridge trail with a short off shoot, that's well marked with trail signs. And you downloaded the App AllTrails, right? Remember to bring more water and/ or electrolyte drinks than you think you need. It's hot out here!

One of the four main vortexes, this is a top place to see while in Sedona. A wonderful photo site, be aware if you climb to the top (recommended!) to pay attention to the trail markers - white blazes and rock cairns (a basket of red rocks in a wire cage). Have good shoes and take breaks if you want to - this trail usually takes 30 minutes one way. Leave plenty of time to hang out on top. The vortex center spot is the gray rock at the trail end. This is a favorite spot to take sunset photos. If you do that, make sure to take a flashlight or headlamp in case you stay at the top too long after - it gets dark here! (Also a great spot for stargazing!)

Therapy - Bodywork and/ or Energywork

A place that's massage/ body work that's not massage/ body work, Therapy on the Rocks offers a very gentle version of myofascial release. Ideal for those issues that keep coming back, or if you want to feel more stable and grounded in your body. As a bonus, it's right on Oak Creek, with AMAZING views!

Like mead? (Honey alcohol) Want to try it? Superstition Meadery has a great selection, tasting flights, and a mellow vibe. Hiking Guidebook!

If you want to go to lesser known (and less crowed) hikes, pick up "The 50 Favorite Hikes Flagstaff & Sedona" by Cosmic Ray either online or at local stores.

Pack for temperature swings

Knowing and packing for the heat in the summer and the cold(er) in the winter is good - but remember the temperature drops significantly at night compared to the day. If summer, you'll be grateful you brought a sweatshirt or sweater. If winter, look at the low as well as the high - layers are an excellent choice!
風習と文化

Covid-19 notes:

- Bring a mask, some shops won't let you in without one. - Remember that people from all over are visiting Sedona and still use the standard Covid-19 recommendations: social distancing, a mask, washing your hands, etc. - Some places only accept cards, no cash. -There are hundreds of trails in Sedona so consider going beyond the best known (and busy!) top 12. - If you are sick, consider rescheduling or canceling your visit. Review the extenuating circumstances policy if you need to cancel. - Happy & healthy means a much better visit!
必要な持ち物

Shoes

If hiking consider the time of year and your trails and bring appropriate shoes. Some trails crisscross water; some require sturdy hiking boots.

Helpful Apps

If you plan on hiking, download "AllTrails". When planning on hiking a specific trail, you can download it to your phone so low signal won't affect you. If you plan on biking, download "Trail Forks". This app gives you difficulty rating based on biking, not hiking. A lot of the trails connect - one recommendation is Aerie Loop, a 5 mile trail that connects to others. When driving here on weekends, "Waze" might save you some time. It can look to reroute you to avoid accidents, fires, and heavy traffic.
