The beach at Holkham is one of the most unspoilt and beautiful stretches of sand in the country. Behind the shoreline lies a semi-circular basin, which, at very high tides, rapidly fills to form a spectacular shallow lagoon. The actress Gwyneth Paltrow walked across Holkham sand at low tide during the closing scenes of the film ‘Shakespeare in Love’.

Crabbing
A lovely small town which is perfect for crabbing during the summer months. It also has a great art gallery and harbour to enjoy a boat trip to see the seals- Beans Boats are highly recommended.
Grey Seal Coffee shop is also a great for a pit stop.

Walking
A lovely walk to the beach- park at Burnham Overy Quay & take the 1.5 mile raised footpath towards the beach. The beautiful saltmarshes and countryside views lead to a relatively deserted beach…. If you want to get your steps in for the day keep on going along the beach to arrive in Holkham. The Victoria pub here is a great pit stop for food and drink.

Located between the villages of Titchwell and Thornham, Titchwell Marsh is blessed with diverse habitats. There's also a lovely 1km walk down to the wide sandy beach which offers extensive views across The Wash.
