Lux Central

With a loud and lively atmosphere in the evenings, Lux is definitely the go-to spot to hang with friends in uptown Phoenix. They offer an extensive list of espresso drinks with baristas who really know their stuff. All coffee beans are hand-roasted in house and come from Brazil, Sumatra, Nicaragua, and more. In addition, Lux serves a variety of great eats as well as beer, wine, and cocktails in the bar area itself is dimly lit, with plenty of community-style seating, and stays open late daily.

Start with the Spinach-Artichoke Queso dip, my favorite entree is the brisket, it's amazing and so is the Filet Mignon. If you are there between 3:30-5:30 you can order off the early bird menu but need to ask for the menu. There is also early bird specials on the patio or lounge until 6pm with appetizer and drink specials, the brisket sliders are great!

Our favorite Mexican Restaurant. Excellent food and atmosphere. Best is to get a table on the patio next to the pond! Reservations recommended. They also have a Sunday brunch but check if reservationsare required.

Sightseeing
An amazing but very difficult hike right in the city. If you're a hiker then Camelback Mountain is a must but make sure you have lots of water. Echo Canyon Trail is my favorite but the most difficult, there is also a parking lot and washrooms at the trailhead. Cholla Trail is a bit less difficult and said to be a bit more scenic but you have to park in the neighborhood
