Battersea Park is a 200-acre green space, considered one of the capitals most interesting parks.
It has a riverside promenade, a large lake, many notable trees and ecological areas, children's play areas and zoo, a bandstand, the Pump House gallery, ceremony venue and all-weather outdoor sporting facilities including tennis courts, a running track and football pitches. It is the site of the London Peace Pagoda and has designated Local Nature Reserve, with variety of woodland bird species including blackcap and bullfinch. There are 20 species of butterfly and several of stag beetle including hoverfly. It's so full of variety it's impossible not to stumble upon something new each time you visit - good for walks, nice scenery and fresh air.

If markets are of interest to you, this meets all need at various times, Monday to Saturday - sells Flowers, Fruits, Vegetable and on Sundays it sells all things (from antique to household goods, clothing and cooked food) to the populace. Its only a road and fence that separates it from the property.
This neighbourhood is a great choice for travellers interested in tourist attractions, convenient public transport and architecture.
