Lovely local community owned pub, about 15 minutes walk from the annexe. 17th century building, sensitively refurbished, with garden with views, real ales, cosy fires in winter and excellent food. We are shareholders!

Lovely Georgian hotel about 8 miles walk across country (via Priston Mill) from the annexe. Lovely food and a relaxed atmosphere. Great for a special treat. Taxi back costs about £25.

交通アクセス

Best way to see Bath and the countryside nearby is on foot

We're happy to advise on the best walking routes and things to see. From the annexe, there is a lovely semi rural route down into Bath; this also connects to the Canal in Widcombe. It's 30 minutes walk to the Station and 40 minutes to the Baths. Andrew Swift's book 'On Foot In Bath - Fifteen Walks around a World Heritage City' is recommended. The walks are shown on old maps and there is lots of history included. Available from Toppings & Co. in Bath which is a classic bookshop. We can also recommend country walks, such as a 10 mile one from the annexe, which takes in six excellent pubs!
