Just a 15 minute drive away this award-winning Park is recognised as both a tourist attraction and a Conservation Centre and is one of our favourites. There are daily separate timetables throughout the day. There are horse drawn carriage rides and a bumpy off-road tractor-trailer ride accompanied by lots of banter! The park provides tables and benches for you to enjoy your packed lunches, or there is a small cafe on site.

Just at the beginning of the road to Salisbury (in a 10 minute drive) you will find this hidden gem. Disused gravel pits were turned into a nature reserve which today attracts a wide variety of birds and other wildlife (we have even seen the elusive water vole here!) The shady paths provide an excellent location for a stroll during sunny weather and you have the chance to bird spot along the way. Hides and bird feeding stations provide fantastic areas for some photography.

A trip across the harbour entrance, on the chain ferry, brings you to the beautiful stretches of Studland beaches. Glorious walks along the expanses of beach await, with a scattering of cafes along the way. These beaches are some of the best in the country and possibly some of the best in the World! For a truly memorable outing catch the first ferry by foot at 0700 and be the first people to make footprints on the breathtaking beaches as you stroll towards Ballard Down and Old Harry Rocks.
