Osteria Alla Staffa serves delicious food from noon onwards. The food, as recommended by Rick Stein in his program on Italy, is very Venetian if sitting down to eat. If you stand at the bar, you can eat the equivalent of tapas - small meals, perhaps 4 to a plate and these are delicious with creamed fish, octopi, cod and other delights. However, if you go to sit down, you can share a plate of these but have to also order from the menu inside, which has the typically primo, secondo dishes. These dishes varying in price from euro 15 upwards in general, are delicious and the liver plus the bacalhou are recommended. It is truly good food with a lovely combination of Venetian, regional and Italian

Entertainment & Activities

Teatro La Fenice is an opera house in Venice, Italy. It is one of "the most famous and renowned landmarks in the history of Italian theatre",[1] and in the history of opera as a whole. Especially in the 19th century, La Fenice became the site of many famous operatic premieres at which the works of several of the four major bel canto era composers—Rossini, Bellini, Donizetti, and Verdi were performed. Its name reflects its role in permitting an opera company to "rise from the ashes" despite losing the use of three theatres to fire.
