If you're lucky to get there on a weekend morning, definitely order the house made donuts or donut holes and order some to go. Our favorite meals are The Steakhouse sandwich, Rueben, BLT (with an over easy egg), and any of their breakfast items. The Ridge Inn is about 15 - 20 minutes away from the Red Door Lake House.

Driving through the Hocking Hills is a beautiful way to see nature. Keep in mind that there is an abundance of wildlife including deer, coyote, skunks, raccoons, and possum. Be safe and use caution, especially traveling the roads at night. Keep an eye out for deer crossing the roads. Also, it is recommended to use a vehicle with all-wheel drive as some roads are gravel and many have sharp turns and hills.
