You can buy your Sube card at any station, it's a required for getting around. Subways, trains and buses accept it as their sometimes only way of payment. On the bus you can always ask around if someone can pay with their sube and you give them the money. Argentinian tend to be nice, it's common that somebody will accept it

If you are traveling by bus the Cuando Subo App is a total must. It will tell you not only where the bus stops are but also when the next bus is expected on your stop. It's totally free and works for almost all bus lines in BA. By looking for a particular line in the app you can see all the stops for that line and where they are in real time
