If you’re looking for somewhere brimming with things to do and see, come and explore the many fascinating things the village has to offer, from events, dining experiences and retail outlets to must-see gardens, beautiful walks and secret hideaways.
North Street is one of the more curated areas in Bristol. It is on this street where the Upfest gallery sits and it is this gallery which lends its name to the Upfest festival which has grown massively in popularity in the 8 years in which it’s been running so far.

St Werburghs is a great little community nestled between the M32 motorway, railway embankments and allotment slopes. The City Farm provides a green oasis and adds pigs, goats, sheep, ducks, hens and rabbits to the list of St Werburghs residents. St Werburghs even has a couple of listed buildings – the climbing centre set within a Fifteenth century Church on Mina Road and one of Bristol’s most historic public urinals!
The majority of properties in the area are two and three bedroom homes. Among the rows of these red brick terraced houses is a real feel of a ‘green village’ within the inner city. At the end of Mina Road you’ll find 2.1 acres of concrete slab that have been turned into a sustainable house-building project. If you are interested in architecture then you must visit this eco home haven. If you take a stroll further down Mina Road you will find a great little park and a community of local shops.
