Alford is one of the few villages in Aberdeenshire that has its own pool. It is a good size and enough room for the swimmers and paddlers alike.

The Alford Golf Club has an excellent course that is challenging for the novice and experienced player alike. It is a relatively flat, parkland course with quality greens and tricky to hit fairways. The club also benefits from a good club house with food and beer available all day.

The ski centre can hire out skis, boards and tubes (for tubing!) for you to use on their dry slope. It is not the highest dry slope - the one in Aberdeen is probably twice as big - but it is good fun for the youngsters and novices.
