Urimbirra Wildlife Park, is just a two minute drive away from your accommodation. It is a wonderful, family-friendly park that you can experience, feeding koalas, get up close and personal with kangaroos and their gorgeous joeys! There is a rainbow lorikeet enclosure that you can enter and the beautiful lorikeets will land on you and greet you! There are lamas, sheep, goats, chickens, guinea pigs, echidnas, wombats, crocodiles, dingos and even snakes and nocturnal animals to view and marvel at our incredible Australian wildlife. Cheryl, the owner of the park, is very warm and friendly and is a wealth of information, should you want to know something about any species kept there.
There are many picnic areas to sit and a cafe on the premises.
There’s even a playground for children to play.
A wonderful place that I would certainly recommend you visit.

The Cockle Train

Now this is something worth a visit, just 5 mins from your accommodation.
Come down and pat the magnificent drought horses, prior to stepping on for a ride in the carriage along the jetty to the incredible Granite Island, where you can then step off and head out around the entire island on foot. The island boasts some incredible views. Great for memorable photos of your stay. Plus you may even catch a glimpse of one of the local penguins!
A cafe is also on the island to refresh you after your walk, then hop back on the horse-drawn cart back to the mainland.
A must for both adults and children.
