Just a 10 minute walk from my place you can view the longest staircase lock in the UK raising boats up 20M through 8 canal lock gates.
Take a cable car trip to 650M up the mountain of Aonach Mor - the 8th highest mountain in Britain.
From there you can ski, mountain bike and walk over the mountain (seasons and weather permitting).
You can also take part in the High Wire Adventure which is an assault course through the forest beside the bottom car park.
If you are less energetic, maybe just enjoy lunch in the restaurant at the top station instead and take in the views.
