Yelp 5 star review: Super fun place to test out your golfing skills! A nice addition to the Vegas strip since it provides an extra alternative to gambling or dayclubbing in 100 degree heat in the summer. Uber would be easiest to get here, but they have shuttles running from MGM also. If you're concerned about hourly rates, it's best to check their rates schedule. Weekdays before noon are cheapest for the first 2 floors. We arrived on a Thursday at 11:30am. They said it would be a 30 minute wait for the first 2 floors, or we could go up to the top floor. It would've been the same price anyway so up we went. The top floor is nicer anyway because there are no kids, and the view is better. We got stationed at one of the bays on the very end, so it was a weird angle to play at. The actual golfing was fun though! They have all kinds of clubs for you to use. There are different types of games also, but we just stuck with the basic one. Our first hour went by super fast because no one had golfed before so we took forever. We added an extra hour, which I thought was a bit overkill. I started getting really tired of golf by 90 min, but did enjoy watching others hit and cheering them on. They have an extensive menu if you want to order drinks or food. There is also a pool and cornhole in the non golfing areas. The price isn't too bad if you're mindful. Extra hours, food, and drinks could make your final bill very large. But if you're in Vegas, you're probably willing to splurge for a good time!

Sightseeing

Outdoor Fun.
Yelp 5 star review: What is the Seven Magic Mountains? They are a colorful large scale public artwork by Swiss artist Ugo Rondinone. They are seven 35ft high dayglow totems comprised of painted, locally sourced boulders. They are approximately 20 miles south of Las Vegas. The exhibition opened May 11, 2016 and was set to close end of 2018, but at the end of 2018 the BLM issued a 3 year permit allowing the art work to remain on view until end of 2021. I had to see the Seven Mountains, had to see the pop color against the desert land and I was not disappointed. It is free to visit and there is a plenty of parking. This was a fun spot to stop at and get some cool pictures in. Of course, its popular so there are people around, but when I went everyone was respectful of each other's space when it came to taking pictures of the colorful marshmallows. Very IG worthy. If you want to see something different outside of Las Vegas, go see these while they are still around.

Yelp 5 star review: Did a couple hikes here last November - the most interesting/colorful parts are in the south, around Calico Tanks! This park is also dog friendly, which is awesome. Hike 1: Pine Creek Canyon Strava stats: 2.8 mi, 2hrs (1:24 moving time), 332 ft elevation This is mostly flat. The loop brings you to the edge of the steep cliffs but you don't go up these (unless you're rock climbing!). Towards the end of the loop, there is a wooded dried riverbed that was fun to explore. We weren't really sure where the trail was at that point. Hike 2: Calico Tanks Strava stats: 2.7 mi, 3hrs (1:20 moving), 372 ft elevation Love this! You can stick to the trail, or you can spend the entire time exploring the small canyon and doing light scrambling. And at the end you're rewarded with a view of the strip and the park!

Yelp 5 star review: This sign is iconic, you should definitely come take a picture with the sign. It is located not too far from the strip but you should defiantly drive there, take a bus, or Uber. This is a parking lot, every time I come there is space in the lot and parking is free. When you arrive at the sign, expect a long line. It usually moves quickly, I think the longest I've waited has been 40 minutes. There is a man in front of the sign who will gladly take your pictures, he doesn't work there but he does it so you can tip him. I always give him a tip because he is a good photographer and he gives you ideas on how to pose for the picture. If you don't want to wait in the long line then you can step off to the side and take pictures from that angle. The pictures come out great regardless.

Food scene

Hole in the wall.
Yelp 5 star review: When i go to Vegas I always try to go to the best eating places and it doesnt matter how fancy, expensive, cheap or ghetto it is; as long as the food is good, i will be there! Tacos el gordo is always my must stop when in Vegas! *Ambience: nothing fancy and they have 3 locations the furthest from the street is the one the locals go and itsless crowd med but this time i came to his location not in a rush hour so it was good. *Service: i dont know how they came up with this idea but the lines SUCK! There are different lines for different tacos so you definitely want to come here with friends so each of you can stand in one line for chorizo, another one for tripe, another one for al pastor and so on. And after that you have to stand in another line to pay!!! Sucks but the tacos are so good that i am ok on wasting so much time waiting in line! FYI everything is beef based so they dont have any carnitas. My favorites are: Intestines (my favorite!!), cabeza and lengua!! Everything is homemade and definitely #bellyapproved and #pocketapproved
